Why I Built This

I kept redrawing customer journey maps from scratch for every new project. Each one took 3+ hours — setting up the template, defining the stages, filling in the touchpoints, making it look presentable. I was recreating the same structure over and over.

So I built one reusable system that handles the structure automatically. You answer a structured questionnaire in Google Sheets, and it populates a pre-built Figma template with your brand's specific touchpoints, pain points, and opportunities.

How It Works

The system has two parts:

 Part 1: The Research Questionnaire (Google Sheets)
 A structured 40-question form that walks you through each stage of your customer's journey — Awareness, Consideration, Decision, Retention, Advocacy. For each stage you capture: customer actions, emotions, pain points, brand touchpoints, and improvement opportunities.

 Part 2: The Figma Template
A pre-built visual layout with 5 journey stages, emotion curve, touchpoint icons, and pain point callouts. Once you've filled in the questionnaire, you transfer the key insights into the Figma template. Total time: 20 minutes.

What I learned

The most valuable part of building this wasn't the template — it was the process of deciding which questions to ask. Most journey maps fail because they capture what the brand thinks happens, not what customers actually experience. The questionnaire is designed to force specificity. "What is the customer feeling?" requires a different answer than "What are they doing?" Both matter.
